Welcome Friend!
We are so glad you’re here. This blog is a reflection of our family’s journey toward a slower, more intentional way of living—rooted in faith, learning, and home. What began as a personal effort to homeschool our children, grow our own food, and build a peaceful home has grown into a mission: to share what we’re learning in hopes of encouraging and equipping other families along the way.
Our Life Right Now
We’re in a sweet and busy season of life. We’re currently wrapping up Kindergarten with our oldest while stepping into the early years with our youngest and preparing for the transition into first grade. Our days are full of read-alouds, hands-on projects, outdoor play, and learning together in simple, meaningful ways.
This blog is growing right alongside our family. As our children grow, so will the resources, lessons, and rhythms we share here—making this a place you can return to year after year.
What You’ll Find Here
Everything we share comes from real life. Not perfection but practice, trial, and error.
Homeschool Resources
Simple, engaging lesson plans, book-based learning, and creative activities designed especially for the early years.
Gardening & Seasonal Living
Practical ways to grow food, follow the seasons, and bring learning outdoors. Through a homestead inspired living we share simple skills, rhythms, and traditions that help create a peaceful, intentional home.
Faith-Based Lessons
Bible lessons, character-building activities, and ways to naturally weave faith into everyday routines.
Our Approach
We don’t follow a traditional school model. Our homeschool is built around flexibility, curiosity, and play. We use open-and-go resources, follow seasonal themes, and focus on creating a love for learning rather than rushing through it. We also focus on a mastery-style grading system so our kids don’t progress to the next topic until we feel they’ve reached a level of mastery.
We believe:
- Learning happens everywhere—not just at a desk
- Childhood should be protected, unhurried, and shown that we can learn from our mistakes
- When the opportunity presents itself, we should take the opportunity to be curious, to explore, and to play
- Simple routines often matter more than perfect plans
Why This Blog Exists
This space isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about sharing the journey, what’s worked for us, what we’re learning, and how we’re growing—so you can take what serves your family and leave the rest. If you’re looking for simple ideas, encouragement, and a reminder that meaningful learning doesn’t have to be complicated, you’re in the right place.
